| In this case, it's a glimpse of love, God's love... instead of writing a whole schpiel, take a look here.
I don't know how to put a youtube video on xanga yet... so just take a look at the linked blog.
In light of today/yesterday's message... we cannot fully know God, because he is infinite; all we can get are little tastes or glimpses of who He is. This man's love for his son... yes it pales in comparisson to God's, though even in any parent's love for their child, there is that picture, that image of the immortal God. But, I am glad for these "down to earth" reminders, for often times I too easily lose sight of the eternal and flashes of glory like this are welcome sign posts along the way.
**************************************************************** My Jesus, I love thee, I know thou art mine; for thee all the follies of sin I resign. My gracious Redeemer, my Savior art thou; if ever I loved thee, my Jesus, 'tis now.
I love thee because thou hast first loved me, and purchased my pardon on Calvary's tree; I love thee for wearing the thorns on thy brow; if ever I loved thee, my Jesus, 'tis now.
I'll love Thee in life, I will love Thee 'til death, And praise Thee as long as Thou lendest me breath; And say when the death dew lies cold on my brow, if ever I loved thee, my Jesus, 'tis now.
In mansions of glory and endless delight; I'll ever adore thee in heaven so bright; I'll sing with the glittering crown on my brow; if ever I loved thee, my Jesus, 'tis now. ****************************************************************
| Psalm 51:12,13
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will turn back to you.
